Project Runaway has prepared well for its finale of season 6. It was reported that the award-winning show has taped its sixth-season finale Friday, but according to reports what are missing are the finalists of the said show. Because of the legal battle facing the show, the three unknown designers have sent their collections down the runway at the tents of the Bryant Park of the final Day of the New York Fashion Week. While their designs are being showed in front of the audience, the designers stayed hidden in the backstage. Heidi Klum was disappointed with what happened, and she added that she was a little bit sad that the finalists couldn’t be in the moment and be at the spotlight after they have worked so hard in order to get to that level of the competition. And the Project Runway host said that the show is in a little bit of limbo and they hope that everything will be all right soon.

This new season of Project Runway has been delayed because of the legal battle that involves the NBC Universal which owns the Bravo TV, the Weinstein Co and the Lifetime Channel. The show has been running for five seasons. NBC Universal has sued Weinstein after the company made a reported $150 million deal with the Lifetime Network for the series, which features the model Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia at the judges’ panel. The guest judge for the season finale of season 6 is International Herald Tribune editor Suzy Menkes. Season 6 of the show was filmed in Los Angeles instead of the usual New York which was the site for the last five seasons.
