Bravo TV to develop another design show

Bravo TV is planning on another reality-based design show. And Bravo is not letting Project Runaway be the end of its fashion sense. This was announced by the cable channel last week and in effect ordered for another design-competition series to be called ‘The Fashion Show’. In this series, the viewers pick the winner and the prize includes a retail deal. Castings for the show are now being planned, and this will start next month and is set for Los Angeles, California, Miami, Florida, Chicago, Illinois and New York.
The potential contestants that will be casted on the show are required to bring samples of their work. The official date of the release of the series is not yet known, according to Bravo TV. It is believed that the new fashion show that will be produced by Bravo will be the perfect complement to the successful fashion series of the cable channel. Some of the popular fashion series of the channel include ‘Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style’ and ‘Rachel Zoe Project’. Of course missing from the list was ‘Project Runway’ the hit television series now caught in a struggle involving NBC Universal, which owns Bravo and the Weinstein Co and the Lifetime Channel. The problem with ‘Project Runway’ happened when NBC Universal sued Weinstein after the production company made a reported $150 million deals with Lifetime for the series that featured Heidi Klum as the host. In September this year, a New York Supreme Court Justice issued the temporary injunction barring Weinstein from taking ‘Project Runway’ or any spin-off of the show. If the deal would have pushed thru, the sixth season of ‘Project Runway was expected to air on Lifetime in January. Other fashion related shows are present on Bravo channel which includes the ‘Celebrity Sew-off’ which was also announced last week.
