A Beatles video game

With the success of Activision’s Guitar Hero and with the inclusion of Van Halen and Aerosmith on the game, there were talks that perhaps Beatles will be given a new game of its own. If Aerosmith was featured in a musical game, then why not an all-important band likes the Beatles? But all the loose talks were like a headless chicken and analysts and observers don’t know where the game will land. So will the game land on MTV Game’s Rock Band franchise or will this land on Activision’s Guitar Hero?
The question still remains a mystery though and no one seems to have the correct answer. Another unresolved issue is whether the game will include the member’s likeness. What is becoming clear from the buzz is that this will feature the different eras of the band’s career visually and this will start with the black and white feel of the 60s to the Rubber Soul years, to Yellow Submarine and will end with the final hippie years.
For Harmonix, the developer of Rock Band, the Beatles game will be their big priority for 2009. This plan came to light when the Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos said that Beatles is on top f his artist wish list along with Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pink Floyd and Rolling Stones. For the CEO these are the titanic bands of their era that have a special place in the hearts of music lovers. The company and the Rock Band franchise have already secured the exclusive rights for the AC/DC music. For the head and the co-founder of the company that created the hit Guitar Hero series, the name Beatles means success. For them, the band is very unique and added that the world will be waiting for the new game that will feature Beatles.
