Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman team-up on Smallville foiled

It was supposed to be a great mix of super heroes, putting together Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman in the Smallville series. And the fans of these three superheroes will be delighted and excited. But that was not meant to be. The writers and the producers of the hit sci-fi show were denied permission to feature Batman and Wonder Woman on the show. The sci-fi hit show centers on the early years of Clark Kent, right before he assumed the role of Superman. Tom Welling played the role of Clark Kent.
In an interview with the Smallville magazine, it was learned that the characters of Batman and Wonder Woman were considered off-limits for the show. The former producer of the show added that almost all characters from the former Superman series or movie was already used. Gough mentioned to the magazine that they earned the right to incorporate a number of characters in the DC mythology and the incorporation of these characters lit the show. Some of the characters that were introduced include Justice League, Brainiac, Bizarro, the Fortress and Lois Lane. The show was also successful in introducing comic book characters like Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, the Black Canary, Green Arrow, Cyborg and the junior version of the Flash. The series also hosted guest appearances from prominent personalities like the ones that graced former Superman movies. The list of actors includes Dean Cain, Marc McLure, Helen Slater, Christopher Reeve Terrence Stamp and Margot Kidder. The producers of the show are also planning the new Robin prequel series that will be called ‘The Graysons’. The said project was not intended to be the new replacement for the Smallville after the show has been rumored to have been on the last season. The eighth season is underway in the US and set to begin in UK in early November.
