Tina Fey continues her winning run in the industry and for now, the Emmys is her stage. The writer and the comedian Tina Fey is already a YouTube sensation thanks to her uncanny resemblance to the US Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. But she has taken it a step further by winning three awards at the Emmy Awards thanks to her work on ’30 Rock’. The show won the Emmy for the second time for Outstanding Comedy Series. Tia Fey and Alec Baldwin took home the top acting awards for the awarded show. Aside from the acting awards, Tina Fey also received an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.

The comedy series that was partly created by Tina Fey may have picked up four awards, but backstage the writer and actress was quizzed about her recent portrayal of the Republican vice presidential candidate. When asked about her portrayal about Palin, she said that she is not keen on seeing the Palin character as a regular character on SNL. Fey added that she wants to end her portrayal of the candidate by November 5th this year. The writer added that Palin seems like a perfectly nice lady. At first, Tina Fey was reluctant to admit that there is indeed a similarity in looks between her and the candidate. But when her kid noticed the similarities on TV, then that was the signal for her to admit the similarity. In another development related to the writer, Fey asked the help of the reporters backstage in finding her purse. She added that she lost her purse when she left it under her seat at the LA Nokia Theater. Tina Fey added that it was a small purple purse with an iPhone in it with a picture of a naked toddler. Her show was nominated for 17 Emmys.
