Dave Matthews Band to pay tribute to LeRoi
The founding member of the Dave Matthews Band died Tuesday from complications stemming from injuries he has sustained in an ATV accident. LeRoi Moore died unexpectedly at the hospital said publicist Ambrosia Healy. After the band member has suffered an accident at his farm outside Charlottesville, Moore was rehabilitating at his L.A. home and was also taken to the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles California.

The Dave Matthews Band was formed in Charlottesville by Matthews, drummer Carter Beauford and Moore in 1991. LeRoi Moore was an established saxophonist in the local music scene. The band is known for its trademark mixture of jazz, rock and world music styling that was appreciated both here and abroad.
Their album was ‘Remember Two Things’ which was released in 1993 and the album showcased the trademark jazz, rock and world-music styling has been associated with the band until now.
Dave Matthews Band’s second album and their follow-up were the ‘Under the Table and Dreaming’ and this album was certified as quadruple-platinum and this album sold over four million copies in the market. The Dave Matthews Band had a show Tuesday night and the group went ahead with the show that was scheduled at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The saxophonist for the Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Jeff Coffin was the replacement for Moore when Moore was involved in an accident. The death of Moore was announced by Matthews in that same concert and called the former band mate as a ‘dear friend’.Even before the concert started at the Staples Center, the word of death of the member of the Dave Matthews Band has already spread through the crowd. Moore was one of the less vocal members of the group and prefers to be on the sidelines. Moore and Matthews first teamed up in 1991.
