Wagner leaves United Artists
Paula Wagner who is known as the long time production partner of Tom Cruise has announced that he will leave her post. Wagner is the chief executive officer for the United Artist. Wagner said that she will pursue other projects independently.

Though Wagner will leave her post at United Artist, she will still retain her co-ownership in the studio. United Artist studio is the near century-old studio that was revived by Wagner and Tom Cruise in 2006. She will continue to work on her films and projects that are still in development.
In a statement Wagner mentioned that she relished the opportunity of working with Tom Cruise and treasured their efforts to revive United Artist. Cruise on the other hand said that he support the move of her partner and called Wagner as an incredibly smart and a talented producer. The actor said that he is looking forward to working with her in the future.
In Wagner’s statement, she added that she enjoyed her time as an executive but she needs to return to her first love and that’s in making movies. She added that she believe in the vision of United Artist and confident as well that the CEO of MGM Harry Sloan and her colleagues at MGM will see the vision thru reality. Wagner is set to step down officially after the release of Bryan Singer’s Valkyrie. The movie is a World War II thriller and has been troubled for most of its production. The movie is set to be released in December 26.
Based on various sources, Paula has been a disaster in the company and this has affected Cruise. The actor made sure that Wagner will exit with honor. The troubles with the company on its movies like Lion for Lambs and the next Valkyrie is said to be affecting the financing dealings of the company.
