For Lucas, Harrison Ford is the right man for the job
If George Lucas will have his way, the person who can keep the Indiana Jones series going is Harrison Ford. And if by chance Harrison Ford is no longer interested to make the movie, then there will no more movies about the guy with the famed fedora.

With that statement, George Lucas downplayed the possibility that new star Shia LaBeouf will be the recipient of the famed fedora of Indiana Jones. LaBeouf was the actor who played Indiana’s son Mutt Williams in the latest reincarnation of the movie, ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull’.
The director believed that it was only Harrison Ford that fits the role. And in an interview done with AP television, the director said that he didn’t pay much attention to the reception of the fans and the critics of the movie. But the director added that there is a possibility for a future Indiana Jones movie. The future of the next Indiana Jones movie he said is dependent upon a good idea.
If there will be a good idea, then movie goers can expect that a new movie will be out.The director added that the series is very research-intensive, so they will doing their research and see if they can come up with new material and a new object that Indiana Jones can chase.
The director has been busy with his other popular franchise; ‘Star Wars’. In fact he produced the animated version of the franchise ‘Star Wars: Clone Wars’ which is set to hit the theaters in August 15.
The launch of the animated version of the ‘Star Wars’ will be followed by another animated series that is meant to be aired on TNT and the Cartoon Network. The live-action ‘Star Wars’ TV series is in the pipe-line as well and it is his desire to re-release all ‘Star Wars’ films using 3-D technology.
