While there are fewer viewers this season, American Idol is still the biggest TV show. And it just got bigger with the winner announced recently. David Cook and David Archuleta battled it out in this season’s finale. Archuleta, the teen crooner was expected to receive the bulk of votes from younger voters while David Cook will appeal to the more mature viewers. The voting was not close though with David Cook named the runaway winner of season 7.
